Mom:
My mom is a very caring person; she
will do anything to help anyone and is always there for you. Growing up my mom
made sure that I had everything I needed. She was also there to support me with
school, friends, and a person to talk to. My mom would come to all school
events, sporting events and anything else you would want you mom at. I was a
shy little girl and I always wanted my mom around.
My Mom has taught me how to be a
woman. She has been a great role model as to how to raise a family and balance
all aspects of life at the same time. To this day my Mom will drop everything
to come help me if needed. She supports me in everything I do. I know I can
trust my mom to give me the guidance I need. I am grateful for the help and
support I still receive from my Mom.
Dad:
I am for
sure a “daddy’s girl”. Growing up I always wanted to be around my Dad. My Dad
has a softer side where he would do anything for me or my sister. When my Mom
would say no I knew I could go to my Dad and get what I wanted. My Dad was my
soccer coach all throughout my childhood. He was there at every game, cheering
me on and teaching me how to be a great teammate as well as a strong an independent
woman. My Dad is hardworking, and has shown me that if you work hard, good
things will come your way. He has taught me to believe in myself and to not
listen to what others say. My Dad continues to share his great wisdom with me
each and every day and encourages me to be the best person I can be. He always
reminds me that “today is a new day”.
Becca:
I am lucky
enough to have grown up with a sister who is only 16 months younger than me. My
sister is my best friend, we do almost everything together. When we were
younger, we were always there for each other and we always had someone to play
with. As we have grown up, I have learned how thankful I am to have a sister
and for the bond that we have created. My sister has taught me what it means to
truly have a best friend. My sister inspires me each day as she helps young
children with their battle against cancer. She inspires me to be the best I can
be in my career.
Elementary school teacher Mrs. Julie
Throughout
school I really struggled with reading and Mrs. Julie was there for me. She
would stay after school to help me with my homework, and tutored me over the
summer. Mrs. Julie was a caring teacher and she truly looked out for her
students. I knew that I could trust Mrs. Julie and that she cared about my
future. Mrs. Julie is the teacher who inspired me to get involved with Early
Childhood Education. Looking back on the relationship I had with her in school
reminds me of the kind of teacher I hope to be. To this day Mrs. Julie looks
out for me and encourages me to do my best.

I enjoyed reading about your family and friends who have cared for you throughout the years! I can relate on being a "Daddy's girl" as well. I am the oldest but I have two younger brothers, so being the only girl in our family made it easy with him. It also great to have a teacher that not only cared for you in school but years later she still cares about.
ReplyDeleteBrianna,
ReplyDeleteYour family is wonderful. I really enjoyed all of the photos you included. You can tell how close you are through them. I too had an elementary teacher who was special to me. I stayed after school and helped her with tasks at the end of the day. That one on one time with her meant a lot to me as a child. Thanks for sharing!

I can definitely relate to being a daddy's girl. I am the 5th youngest child in the family, with all the rest being boys. So you would say I was pretty spoiled! Thank you for sharing your family with us!
ReplyDeleteYou have so many wonderful relationships in your family! I loved reading about them and seeing all the pictures. I find myself always saying the same quote: "today is a new day." It gets me through my toughest days knowing that every day I can start fresh. Thanks for sharing :).
